Common things are common, but everyone loves a slightly leftfield differential diagnosis. My particular favourite being, "I think this child might have smallpox and I've contacted the infectious diseases team." Occasionally, however that animal that looks like a horse and moves like a horse  turns out to be a zebra. Following an interesting case, medical student Rachel Groome produced this excellent infographic where the particular zebra in question turned out to be West Nile Virus.
